We went for a walk to scope out the town. We ran into a group of artisans. |
Agadir is a coastal town about 5/6 hours south of Casablanca. Four of us rented a car and headed south after school on Thursday. (Well, it's Africa so it wasn't really as easy as that sounds...the car was delivered to us two hours late AND we asked for a mid-sized car because we all had suitcases and bags....we were delivered this teeny, tiny, cracker-box of a car)....but...off we went....
It took us a while to find the hotel once we got to town. We finally got to bed about 1am.
The next day was sunny and just beautiful!

Agadir is known for it's lovely beaches and sunshine! |
Well....most of the beaches were nice....."it's still Africa!" |
This was our hotel. (MUCH nicer looking on the outside than the inside) After we killed a cockroach when we arrived, asked for more than one towel several times, reported that the toilet doesn't flush three times and got used to the shower being possessed......we left to explore the town! ;) |
Some darling French Preschool children filing in to McDonald's for lunch! We wanted a normal chicken salad, so ate at McD's the first day! |
The pool area. |
Judy and I sitting out by the pool making reservations for the next town for the following night!! |
My self, Robin, Judy and Lynn eating out at a Chinese restaurant. It's hard to explain.....but we get so excited about trying these places and hoping it will taste like Chinese food "back home"....but...."it's still Africa". The food just tastes....just okay. |
Our room key....on this HUGE block of metal. We took turns deciding who had to carry it next!! :) (because, of course, we only have ONE key!) :) |
