October 17th - Sunday - My second favorite day of the week! :)

Another lovely day in North Africa!
Sunday

Sunday started out by going to a new church. The church is called St. John's church. It is a little more formal than my Steamboat Church and a little less formal than my Shelby/Davenport Church! Lots of different nationalities and church backgrounds represented in this small church. There are only two legal churches in the city of Casa (3  million people). This one was small and quaint. I really enjoyed it. The pastor is from Australia (so very fun to listen to). His sermon wasn't anything to write home about, but hopefully will get better! The music was one guy playing a guitar and the music up on a screen. The church pew seats 5 at best and there were maybe 14 pews. Inside the gated area of the church there was a small cemetery that I enjoyed walking through.....cemeteries always make me think of my dad. Love you dad and mom!

Next we went to TGI Fridays for a little bit of "America" for lunch! It was fun and the food tasted great! Then the five of us walked on the boardwalk for a bit and took a few photos. It was an absolutely beautiful day here. Blue sky, sunny and probably lo 70's or hi 60's.

This is the boardwalk area of Casa....very touristy....very clean and "pretty"! A few too many people for me.
This is the beach along the boardwalk area. The beach Marcia and I usually go to is called Sunny Beach and is about 8 miles south of this area. As I said, it was a gorgeous day, so there was a lot of action on the beach and boardwalk today!
This is Gail (the other 2nd grade teacher - from Michigan), Marcia (my roomie and the art teacher - from Seattle, WA), Judy (middle school English teacher - from GA), Lynn (1st grade teacher - from PA) and me (2nd grade) having a fun afternoon in the sun!

We (Marcia and I)dropped the others off at school to do work on SUNDAY and we headed home, put on the swim suits and headed back to Sunny Beach!   :)  We went for a long walk, sat and soaked up a little sun and headed home for dinner and a movie!

Can you see all THREE dogs sleeping under or beside this truck in our parking lot!! I wanted to go wake them up and tell them to sleep at NIGHT!! They seem to sleep all day and BARK all night!! CRAZY DOGS!! We are thinking of feeding them some of Marcia's sleeping pills!!  :)

What a nice weekend we had. I hope all of you enjoyed yours as well. Tomorrow, back to school and the craziness there. I'm hoping for a wonderful week!
